Helping Children Grow
Did you know 1 in 3 children struggle to learn basic literacy and numeracy skills in a classroom which is designed for the average learner? This brings much distress and anxiety to children who are unable to keep up with their peers and low self-esteem follows, which impacts the whole of their future lives.
I have worked with many students with learning difficulties who have struggled to read or write or understand mathematics. From my training at SPELD NSW, I gained an understanding of these learning differences and was given techniques and programmes to enhance learning.
From my work in Waldorf schools, I deepened this understanding to include the underlying hindrances to learning, such as incarnational difficulties, movement imbalances and other special qualities. I provide individualised, multi-sensory lessons to support language, literacy and numeracy skills.
